Who We Are
The Bridge Church is a vibrant, energetic church that not only understands the challenges you face in day to day life, but where you will find the tools to help you live it to the fullest. Whether you are just curious about church and about God or you are a committed follower of Jesus Christ, you're welcome here. To help you as you prepare to visit with us, keep reading to learn some of the basics about our church.
When are your services?
Our worship services are held at 9 and 11 each Sunday. We have a great Kids Church program, held at the same time, for children 6-11 years old, fully staffed nurseries for our youngest guests, and a Junior High service for grades 6-8. We also have a midweek service on Wednesday evenings at 7.
Are there any other services?
Sure are! There are Bible studies, Life Groups, Young Adult groups and more that meet during the week throughout the year. Please call the church office at 208.710.6686 for specific times, dates, and locations.
What can I expect on my first visit?
From the moment you arrive, you'll be made to feel welcome. Our greeters will be waiting and ready to give directions and help you find your way around. As you enter, please feel free to stop at the Information Center to learn more about the church and about our upcoming events, enjoy some free coffeehouse coffee, or purchase a specialty drink at our TBC Café. If you're new to the area, looking for a new church home, or simply want a place to visit along your faith journey, here's what you will find at The Bridge Church:
-
Our band will lead us in a few songs of praise aimed at honoring God.
-
Someone will say hello and give a few announcements.
-
There will be a time to greet people and build new friendships.
-
One of our pastors will share a message from the Bible that is designed to help people either get to know, or learn to follow, Jesus.
From beginning to end, we're committed to both honoring God and attracting people. No matter what methods, we are dedicated to an authentic and challenging presentation of God's truth that speaks to today's generation and to your needs. Our heart is to communicate in a way that speaks to both serious Christians and to genuine seekers of truth, with passionate, direct, and honest messages focusing on the real call of Christ, and on how to apply His teachings, in order to accomplish God's unique purpose for your life. After each message, there is a time of response through worship to allow you to apply the Word of God specifically to your home, work, relationships, and life.
How should I dress for Sunday service?
Jeans and a t-shirt, suit and a tie, cargo shorts with sandals, bunny slippers... dress however you'd like! We don't have a dress code at The Bridge!
How often do you have communion?
We usually celebrate communion on the first Sunday of every month. We practice open communion which means anyone can participate; we only ask that you be a follower of Jesus Christ.
Do you have a space set aside for nursing mothers?
Yes, we do have a special area for nursing mothers. Be sure to stop by the information desk to ask for directions.
What is there for my children?
On Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, we have fully staffed nurseries for our youngest guests, and children (grades 1-5) enjoy their own awesome KIDS Church services!
Your child will experience church like never before, with games, music, puppets, videos, and a two-story play area (!!!), all designed to present God's truth in fun and creative ways. They won't want to miss a single service! For the littler ones, our nurseries are available and staffed during each service, so you can relax and simply enjoy the service, knowing you will be immediately notified, should your child have any need.
Check out our KIDS web page for more information and to connect with our KIDS team!
What about teens?
If you're a student in 6th through 12th grades, then you're invited to plug into "FEARLESS"! On Sundays Junior High youth (6th-8th grade) worships with the adults and then splits off for a message and fellowship made just for them! On Wednesdays students (6th-12th grade) will worship in the main sanctuary at the start of service and then go into their own small groups for a time to deep dive into discussions tailor-made for them! On Fridays, students in 8th-12th grade will meet in The Upper Room from 7-10pm for dinner, hangout, worship, and a service that is overall by and for teens! Check out our webpage for more information on monthly events, yearly trips, and more information on how to connect and serve within this group!
